L-ascorbic acid is essential for the human body, but we cannot synthesize it ourselves, so it must be ingested through diet or, in the context of cosmetics, topically.

There are many stable derivatives of vitamin C on the market, but L-ascorbic acid, or the original form of vitamin C, is considered the most effective as it has been proven to penetrate the skin to the site of action and its effectiveness has been supported by the most clinical studies. Although it is very effective, L-ascorbic acid is also very unstable and formulations with it often lose their properties quickly, changing color and smell. On the other hand, the optimal pH for it to penetrate the skin is between 3 and 3.5, which is quite acidic. Although L-ascorbic acid is generally well tolerated, the acidity required for optimal penetration into the skin can be a problem for sensitive skin types, who may experience short-term burning or long-term dryness. L'ADRIA decided to solve both problems of L-ascorbic acid - stability and dermal tolerability, to create a serum for all skin types with a high concentration of L-ascorbic acid that can be used daily.

Innovation L'ADRIA Vitamin C Ritual Serumis a stable formula with a clinically proven effective dose of L-ascorbic acid that is gentle enough for daily use. The serum is packaged in eco-friendly packaging made from sugarcane bioplastic. It does not require refrigeration and should be stored at room temperature away from direct sunlight.

The serum consists of two phases:

• Phase Acontains 20% micronized ascorbic acid in an anhydrous base, and the synergists vitamin E and astaxanthin.
• Phase Bis an activator that allows vitamin C to penetrate the skin, while simultaneously balancing pH, hydrating and soothing. It contains high concentrations of beneficial ingredients, including chamomile, 10% panthenol, 2% ectoine, sea lavender and hyaluronic complex.

The combination of these two components achieves a final vitamin C concentration of 10%, which is a clinically proven effective concentration, with a pH value of around 3.2, which ensures optimal absorption of vitamin C into the skin, and the high concentration of soothing and moisturizing ingredients greatly prevents the feeling of burning and drying due to the acidity of L-ascorbic acid. The serum also contains synergistic antioxidants such as vitamin E. Vitamin C is known to regenerate vitamin E, so their effect is enhanced when used together. It also contains astaxanthin from pink algae. Astaxanthin is an extremely powerful antioxidant, even 1000 times more effective than vitamin C in protecting the lipophilic parts of the skin, while L-ascorbic acid is a protector of the water compartments of the skin. The combination of lipophilic and hydrophilic antioxidants allows for comprehensive protection of all layers of the skin.In short, the benefits of L-ascorbic acid are preserved and enhanced in the L'ADRIA Vitamin C ritual, and the unwanted effects are reduced.

It is recommendedfor all skin types, especially for preventing and reducing signs of photoaging, such as fine lines and wrinkles, and for achieving a healthy glow and firmness of the skin. The formulation is in two phases: yellow phase A with vitamin C and white phase B which is activating and soothing. The phases are always used together and at the same time, they should not be used separately. Think of mixing the phases as a small ritual before applying to the face. First, apply an equal amount of both phases to your hand, each in an amount about the size of a pea for application to the face and neck, making sure that the openings of the tubes do not come into contact with the other component. Mix both components with your hands until they are evenly mixed. This will change the color to a translucent yellow. Then massage onto the entire face, making sure to avoid the eye area.

Usage regimen. Use in the evening. Before first use, we recommend that you do a patch test. During use, it is imperative to avoid the eye area and use sun protection measures before exposure to sunlight throughout the entire period of use of the product. Sunlight degrades the vitamin C reservoir in the skin, and the use of sunscreen is recommended to preserve vitamin C in the skin and achieve the best effect. Vitamin C ritual can be combined with all L'ADRIA products, but it is recommended to avoid products with AHA/BHA/PHA acids, retinol or other aggressive products on the day of application of Vitamin C ritual to avoid irritation. In case of redness, burning or irritation, discontinue use. In case of dryness or a feeling of tightness, increase hydration during use of the product, for example with L'ADRIA Instant revitalizing serum.

Recommended anti-hyperpigmentation routine with L'ADRIA products: Brightening perfecting serum 1-2 times a day in the morning or evening, Vitamin C ritual in the evening, and Sun fluid SPF 50+ before each sun exposure. Additionally, use neutral moisturizing products depending on your skin type (see the routine for your skin type on the L'ADRIA website).

Recommendation of the routine for mature and photodamaged skin, for an intensive corrective effect: the routine is the same as the anti-hyperpigmentation routine mentioned above, and for an additional effect against photoaging and for dry or mature skin, introduce Rejuvenating oil.
