The secret of its action is hinted at by a gentle but powerful plant with impressive white flowers - a Sea daffodil. It grows on sandy Adriatic beaches and blooms only at night in the summer months, releasing an intoxicating scent. The extract of these beautiful flowers is clinically proven to reduce hyperpigmentation spots on the skin, acting at the beginning and the end of the signaling cascade of synthesis of the pigment melanin, which gives the skin its dark color.

Hyperpigmentation is a demanding cosmetic problem that needs a comprehensive treatment approach in order to achieve fast and efficient results. A complex of highly effective ingredients that work harmoniously and synergistically to reduce hyperpigmentation has been added to the essence of Sea daffodil. Together, they form the ADRILIGHTTM protected complex. This advanced complex is designed to act on multiple stages in the process of melanin formation in the skin: before melanin synthesis (prevention), during melanin synthesis, and even on post-synthesis processes, such as melanin transfer. Also, an important part of the activity of the complex is its antioxidant effect, the prevention of pimples, and the fact that it slightly accelerates the turnover of dead skin cells, so that the complexion is evened out as quickly as possible and existing spots fade rapidly.

In more detail, the components of the ADRILIGHTTM complex are:

• Sea daffodil flower extract - inhibitor of melanin synthesis and release (inhibition of proopiomelanocortin (POMC) and substance P);
•   Milk thistle fruit extract (silymarin) - another iconic Mediterranean plant. An antioxidant that inhibits the expression of tyrosinase, an important enzyme in melanin synthesis;
•   Undecylenoyl phenylalanine - an amino acid derivative that inhibits the binding of alpha-MSH to its receptor and thus the whole melanin creation process afterwards;
• 4% niacinamide - inhibits the transfer of melanosomes, and in addition acts as an indirect antioxidant, soothes pimples and thus prevents postinflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH);
•  4- butylresorcinol - strong inhibitor of tyrosinase activity;
• A dipeptide with a light exfoliating effect helps to remove the dead skin layer, accelerates the action of other brightening ingredients and prevents the clogging of pores and the formation of pimples that can cause dark spots on the skin.

Due to its light emulsion texture, L'ADRIA Brightening perfecting serum can be used on all skin types. It is suitable for mature skin with pigmentation spots caused by photoaging, but also for youthful skin prone to postinflammatory hyperpigmentation spots that fade slowly (PIH).
